Canada Summer Games

2007
Strathcona County, Alberta
The
Western Canada Summer Games involve 10 full days of
high-level athletics in 18 different sports and an estimated
3,000 volunteers. The Games will feature 2,700 athletes
in competition from across British Columbia, Alberta,
Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Yukon, Northwest Territories
and Nunavut.
The
Western Canada Games are a stepping-stone to other competitions
such as the Canada Games, the Pan American Games and
the Olympic Games.
Athlete
eligibility for the 2007 Team Manitoba tennis squad
was determined by Tennis Manitoba from a selection
of Manitoban players born in 1991 or later. The
Tennis Manitoba Provincial Team
contributed to developing player candidates for selection
to the Western Canada Summer Games.
