Kid's Dental Awarded "Building Tennis Communities Partner of the Year" by Tennis Canada

.

    Thu Dec 1, 2011
Winnipeg, MB (TM) – Tennis Manitoba is proud to announce the recent recipient of the Tennis Canada Building Tennis Communities Partner of the Year Award, Kid's Dental.

Kid's Dental has been a partner of Tennis Manitoba for the last 4 years. Over that time, they have offered support in various capacities. It was their partnership with Tennis Manitoba in the form of the Kid's Dental Tennis Fests, however, that brought them recognition from Tennis Canada. With the support of Kid's Dental, Tennis Manitoba ran a series of Tennis Fests at various tennis clubs throughout the city. Beginning with a giant Tennis Fest at Sargent Park Tennis Centre with an estimated 500 kids attending - all whom received a free racquet - these Tennis Fests provided a way to introduce kids to tennis in a new, fun, and active way. Thanks to Kid's Dental, a further 50 free racquets as well as other prizes were handed out at each subsequent Tennis Fest.

Kid's Dental's support of grass roots tennis did not stop there. They were also instrumental in the provision of Progressive Tennis Equipment for every elementary school in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division. Thanks to this, the St. James Area has been inundated with tennis in their schools and the St. James-Assiniboia School Division continues to be a valuable partner of Tennis Manitoba. Kid's Dental has also been a sponsor of the Raise A Racquet for Kids fundraiser dinner at Tennis Manitoba for the past two years.

A sincere thank you goes out to Kid's Dental for its generous support of Tennis Manitoba and the development of grass roots tennis in the province and a congratulations in winning this prestigious award from Tennis Canada!
