Winnipeg, MB (TM) – This year, the Winnipeg
Winter Club tournament is being split into two
tournaments: a singles tournament in late November,
and a doubles tournament in December.
The WWC Indoor Singles Open will run from Nov.
26-Dec. 2. There will be men's and women's events at
the Open, 4.5 and 3.5 levels. As with the summer
tournaments, there will be drop-down events for each
category. Entry deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 22.
The WWC Doubles Christmas Classic (men's, women's
and mixed doubles) will be held from December 18-22.
We realize that the tournament is close to
Christmas, but in order to try to avoid conflicts
with tennis programming at the WWC, it was best to
run the doubles portion after programming was
complete for the fall session. Most players entering
in the doubles tournament should have their matches
completed by Dec 20. Entry deadline is Wed. December
14.
