The 2010 Tennis Manitoba events calendar details are now available at
TennisManitoba.com/calendar. The new online
calendar uses Google technology and allows web
site visitors the ability to quickly add
individual events to their own Google calendars.
Reminder event "pop-ups" or emails can be setup
so that participants don't miss important
registration deadlines.
For real tennis enthusiasts, an entire Tour
tournament listing of your choice can be saved
to your own Google Calendar, which will
automatically be updated when Tennis Manitoba
changes event dates or adds new tournaments. Or,
subscribe to all available Tennis Manitoba event
details by clicking on the "+ Google Calendar"
button located on the lower right corner of the
Tennis Manitoba Events Calendar.
Some of the changes planned for 2010 Tennis
Manitoba tournaments include:
Prairie Regional Qualifiers
will be used for juniors planning to
participate in the 2010 Rogers Junior
National Championships.
The Manitoba Open is being
moved to August to allow local players the
opportunity to play other Open Tour
tournaments to tune-up for Manitoba's
premier event.
Efforts have been made to
shorten some of the longer tournaments with
weekend starts to accommodate more matches
early in the tournament.
The Tennis Manitoba Open
Tour Championships will be hosted by
Glendale in September for top open category
players as determined by Tennis Manitoba
Open Tour points earned during the 2010
season. Stay tuned for additional qualifying
details to be announced in the near future.
