Biggest Junior Tournament of the
Summer Seeking Volunteers
|
Junior players looking to make a jump in
the points standings will definitely want
to play the Manitoba Junior Open, as 1.5
times the regular points will be given to
each player based on how far they advance
in the draw. This is a great opportunity
to earn valuable points toward a spot in
the Outdoor Junior National qualifier, to
be played in July. Results from the Manitoba
Junior Open are also being used towards
a Tennis Canada National Junior Ranking.
The Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club will be playing
host to the tournament June 23-27. Please
note that all matches will be played during
the day, beginning at noon and ending at
5:00pm each day.
Volunteers are still needed to assist with
draw desk duties, the social event on June
24th and preparation of player packages.
Lastly, you are encouraged to submit a design
for the Manitoba Junior Open shirt and if
the tournament committee selects yours as
the best you’ll win a US Open backpack courtesy
of Wilson.
