one lucky ticket holder will win a trip for two to the 2006
Rogers Cup in Toronto, featuring the top men’s players in

Arby’s Manitoba Open Draws
The Arby’s
Manitoba Open is just around the corner, with the
4.5 and 3.5 events scheduled to begin on Friday,
July 7th. The draw for these categories will be
held on Wednesday, July 5th at 6:00pm at the Kildonan
Tennis Club.
The
Open events begin next week, with the draw taking
place at the Kildonan Tennis Club on Monday, July
10th at noon.

Carter Earns Tennis Canada Excellence Award
Lee Carter,
Manitoba’s top wheelchair tennis player, has received
the Tennis Canada Excellence Award for Most Improved
Wheelchair Tennis Athlete. Carter had a very successful
2005, surging up the ITF world rankings from No.
277 to No. 59 by the end of the year in singles.

Race
The third
leg of the Prairie Regional qualifying race is now
complete with Clarissa Chen capturing the U18 Girls
Singles title and Evann Waschuk victorious in the
U14 Girls Singles event. Meanwhile, Sean LaCap took
the U18 Boys Singles crown while Kevin Kylar claimed
the U14 Boys Singles championship.
