Bud, Spud & Steak
Fundraiser
The
Tennis
Manitoba Provincial Team is hosting a Bud, Spud & Steak fundraiser
on Thursday, April 27th at the Tijuana Yacht Club, 1405 St. Matthews
Avenue, 6:00pm-9:00pm. Tickets are only $12 each per adult, with half
the ticket sales going directly to support the Provincial Team program.
There are over $3,000 dollars worth of auction prizes available to
be won and a delicious steak dinner for everyone who purchases a ticket.
This is a great opportunity to
support Tennis Manitoba's efforts to raise the level of play for junior
players in the province. Plus, you will get to mingle with other tennis

2006 Manitoba
High School Tennis Championships
Tennis Manitoba is hosting
the 2006 Manitoba High School Tennis Championships at Winnipeg
Lawn Tennis Club on June 3rd and 4th. The tournament is open to
students in grades 10-12 as per Manitoba High Schools Athletic
Association eligibility guidelines.

Futures Expands Again
Tennis Futures promotes healthy
active living through a sport that is non-contact and offers equal
opportunity to boys and girls. An additional clinic has been added
for 2006 and will introduce 750 elementary students to tennis.
The search for more volunteer instructors is now on to accommodate
the continued growth of this very successful event.

Outdoor Junior Nationals Qualification
The top 4 boys and top 4
girls in each age group (U12, U14, U16 and U18) in the point standings
after the qualifying tournaments will represent Manitoba at the
Prairie Regional Qualifier. Results from the following tournaments
will be used to determine the final point standings:
Big Sand Junior Classic - April 14-16
Auto Haus VW Junior Classic (U10, 12, 16) - May 11-14
Auto Haus VW Junior Classic (U14, 18) - May 25-28
Tuxedo Junior Open - May 30 – June 4
Taylor Tennis Junior Classic - July 3-6

the top club players, juniors, seniors, officials and volunteers
in the tennis community is being hosted by Tennis Manitoba and

on Thursday, October 5th at the Canad Inns Polo Park. Mark this
