Winnipeg, MB (TM) – Junior tennis
players from Manitoba and Saskatchewan will compete
at the 2010 Indoor Prairie Regional Qualifier being
held March 5-7 in Saskatoon for the right to
participate in the Rogers Junior National
Championships that take place late March and early
April. The prairie region will send up to 3 boys and
3 girls in each age group (Under 12, U14, U16 and
U18's) to compete against Canada’s best juniors.
Top junior players participating in
the Tennis Manitoba Junior Tour have the opportunity
to represent Manitoba at the up-coming regional
tournament. Each draw at the prairie qualifier will
consist of up to 6 players, with 3 spots being given
to each province. Manitoba juniors are selected
based on their Tennis Manitoba Junior Tour points
following the Kids Dental Junior Open being held
February 3-7 at the Winnipeg Winter Club.
The indoor 2010 Rogers Junior
National Championships will be held as follows:
U12 Rogers Junior National Championships
March 27 - April 2 in Calgary, AB
U16 Rogers Junior National Championships
March 27 - April 3 in Laval, QC
U14 Rogers Junior National Championships
April 4-9 in Edmonton, AB
U18 Rogers Junior National Championships
April 5-10 in Markham, ON.
